 | Camp Green Leaf was moved up the ridge by horse and sled sometime between 1938 - 1940 as witnessed by Arthur Kennedy. Camp Green Leaf was built by Evander & Guy Andrews, there is no date. The back addition, a kitchen first was added, then a small room was built for the grandchildren of Howard Stark.
Camp Idlewylde sits to the left. Camp Green Leaf has electricity and even hot running water (in the summer). The Fire Circle is located to the right of Camp Green Leaf. Camp Green Leaf is the more popular of the camps because it is bigger than Camp Idlewylde and the back room provides some alone space. The main cabin has three beds and the back room has a bunk bed and cot w/ trundel. Snow is usually up to the bottom of the porch. The porch at Camp Green Leaf has always been our "outdoor" living room. Harmonica playing and singing brings out all types of characters on the ridge at night.
